Enemy Tactics at Chasiv Yar: Details from the Military.

The Operational Command of the Joint Forces 'Khortytsia' reported that Russian occupiers are in the process of completely destroying Chasiv Yar. According to military personnel, such tactics complicate defense and indicate that the city is not needed by them. It seems that the Russians aim to simply capture the territory, regardless of whether the city has infrastructure or not.
'The situation there is very complicated. Urban battles are already ongoing, but without any particular success for either side. It should be noted that such battles lead to constant destruction. The Russians are making every effort to destroy buildings in the city. Their goal is not to allow Ukrainians to establish themselves, to prevent them from holding positions, but to force them to retreat. But the problem is that when buildings are destroyed, there is not even bare ground to hold onto. The Russians do not intend to take the city, but are trying to capture the entire territory,' - said the spokesman of the Operational Command 'Khortytsia' Viktor Trehubov.
This scenario is unfolding in most directions where urban battles are taking place, with the exception of Pokrovsk.
According to Trehubov, regarding Pokrovsk, the Russians will try to encircle the city without occupying it. Although the city is under constant shelling and has changed its appearance, the Russians are not trying to directly enter it. They are trying to bypass the city, blocking the roads leading to it, in order to force Ukrainian forces to retreat.
