TCC representatives are required to wear body cameras: new rules from September 1.
Body cameras for TCC representatives: new usage rules
According to inkorr.com: Before the start of notification activities, TCC representatives must inform citizens that they will be photographed and recorded on video. This information was provided in connection with the explanations from the Ministry of Defense regarding the rules for the use of body cameras by TCC employees.
According to the new requirements, body cameras must be attached to military uniforms on the chest or installed in such a way as to ensure video recording.
“If you notice that a TCC representative is wearing a body camera on their belt, in their pocket, or it is turned off, this is a violation of current legislation. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine issued an order on August 6, 2024, under number 532”, – said the deputy.
In addition, before starting the notification, the TCC representative is required to turn on the camera. It is also important to check the correct settings of the date and time on the device.
Mandatory use of body cameras for TCC representatives
“The portable video recorder must be turned on at the moment the authorized representatives begin to perform their official duties related to notifying citizens or checking their documents. Recording continues constantly during the execution of tasks, except in situations where it is necessary to protect military facilities or confidential information, or in cases where the representative needs personal private time (visiting the toilet, lunch break, etc.)”, – the deputy explained.
As of September 1, the use of body cameras has become mandatory for TCC and SP representatives working in notification groups. This decision is aimed at ensuring transparency and legality of mobilization processes and increasing the responsibility of all participants.
