Topping the charts, the Continental PremiumContact 7 achieved the shortest stopping distance at 35.5 meters, highlighting its superior safety performance. In stark contrast, the Linglong EcoMaster e recorded the longest braking distance of 42 meters. This 6.5-meter disparity underscores a significant performance gap that could be critical in an emergency stop.
Testing Methodology and Overall Scores
The evaluation placed a heavy emphasis—60% of the total score—on wet-weather handling, a crucial safety consideration for unpredictable summer driving. The final overall scores for the tested tires were as follows:
