Survivors of the worst fire in Hong Kong
According to The Sun: Survivors of the deadliest fire in Hong Kong in the last 50 years recount that they managed to escape only thanks to luck and instinct. People found themselves in darkness, choking on smoke, without any alarms to signal danger. The death toll has risen to 65, and unfortunately, this number may still increase as hundreds of people are still considered missing.
More than 900 residents were forced to evacuate their homes.
This tragic event has sparked discussions about safety issues in populated areas and the need to improve alert and response systems for emergencies. The authorities in Hong Kong promise to take measures to enhance safety conditions to prevent similar disasters in the future.
