Trump Announces a Deal with Iran: Can It Halt the Conflict?.
The U.S.-Iran Agreement
According to Novyny.live: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that Washington and Tehran have reached a deal that could bring an end to hostilities. The signing is expected in the coming days. Trump stated the documents are nearly finalized and expressed optimism that the agreement will be concluded quickly. A key element of the deal is Iran's commitment to forgo nuclear weapons.
During his remarks, Trump also revealed that on June 11, he canceled planned strikes against Iran. However, on June 8, Iranian forces shot down a U.S. Apache helicopter, prompting a resumption of American attacks on Iran. On the night of June 10, the U.S. launched fresh strikes on targets inside Iran, and military operations continued on June 11.
Signing Ceremony
Trump announced a signing ceremony that will be attended by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. The president emphasized that Iran has suffered a crushing defeat and wants the deal 'much more than I do.' According to him, the U.S. has delivered 'very heavy blows' to Iranian forces over the past three days, and Iran is now ready to accept the terms.
Trump stated: 'As far as I understand, the answer is yes... They will not have nuclear weapons, they have agreed to that.'
These developments suggest a possible end to the U.S.-Iran conflict if the agreement is signed in the near future.
This potential pact marks a significant milestone in U.S.-Iran relations, which have been strained for years. Iran's pledge to abandon nuclear weapons development could reduce regional tensions and open new diplomatic avenues. Still, the situation remains volatile, and ongoing military actions may complicate the peace process.
