Ukraine may receive Tomahawk missiles: how this will change the course of the war.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine has a chance to receive American Tomahawk missiles, which could significantly change the situation on the front against Russia. Former US Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor believes these missiles will be a powerful tool for striking military targets of the adversary.
'The Russians have been using long-range weapons against civilian objects in Ukraine for quite some time. Tomahawk will allow for a response to their provocations and to target precisely those objects that support Russian aggression – military bases, fuel tanks, oil refineries,'– Taylor explained.
Tomahawk missiles are known for their high accuracy, which reduces the risk of errors when striking civilian populations. This will give Ukraine the opportunity to focus on destroying only military objects of the adversary.
Putin in panic
Taylor emphasized that Moscow is feeling anxious due to the strengthening of the Ukrainian army. 'Putin is in a panic, just as he was when Trump imposed sanctions against one of the main buyers of Russian oil – India. This time he is even asking for a meeting with Trump, trying to convince him not to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk,' the former ambassador noted.
According to Taylor, the combination of sanctions and high-precision American weaponry creates immense pressure on Russia. This could prompt the Kremlin to negotiate a cessation of conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Thus, the potential acquisition of American Tomahawk missiles by Ukraine opens new possibilities for precise strikes at military facilities in the conflict with Russia. This development may confuse Putin and lead to increased pressure on the Kremlin to end the war in eastern Ukraine.
