According to ТСН: President Volodymyr Zelensky shared his thoughts on Donald Trump's statement that Putin allegedly wants to see Ukraine succeed.

The head of state responded to journalists' questions, stating:

“Regarding Putin's words that he wants to see Ukraine succeed, look. Firstly, no one believes Putin. I don’t know what he said to President Trump; maybe he said such words, but the faith in those words is zero.”
.

Zelensky also reminded that Russian troops are destroying Ukrainian cities and villages that were once successful and flourishing.

He emphasized:

“If the success he achieved in Bakhmut, Vovchansk, Chasiv Yar, and what he is doing in Pokrovsk now is called success, then let them build such success in Russia.”
.

Moreover, during the meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump unexpectedly stated that allegedly

“Putin wants to see Ukraine successful and flourishing.”
.

Trump emphasized:

“Russia wants Ukraine to succeed. It sounds a bit strange, but I explained it to Putin.”
.

Trump's statements caused a certain resonance in society, as against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, it is hard to believe that the Russian president genuinely wishes our country success. Zelensky’s words about the lack of faith in Putin became a vivid confirmation of the difficult situation that Ukraine finds itself in. It is now important to continue supporting our state and uniting international efforts to ensure its defense capability and restore territorial integrity.
