Biletskyi’s Third Army Corps Lifts Struggling Brigades to Top Performance: Inside the Turnaround.
How the Third Army Corps Took Over Brigades in Critical Condition
According to Novyny.live: Commander Andrii Biletskyi of the Third Army Corps has revealed details about the successful integration and rehabilitation of several brigades that were in poor shape, significantly raising their combat effectiveness. Formed from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, the corps now includes the 125th, 60th, 63rd, and 53rd Brigades.
Challenges and Achievements
According to Biletskyi, the main hurdles were taking command of these struggling units and bringing them up to standard.
“There were two challenges: to take over brigades that were in a very difficult state—the 125th, 60th, 63rd, and 53rd—and to level them up, raise them to a new level, reduce desertion rates, improve overall training, and significantly enhance command, firepower, and drone capabilities. These were the key goals we set for ourselves back then,” he stated.
Biletskyi also noted that after a year of work, desertion levels dropped, and the newly integrated brigades rose to the top in several categories. Advances in training for mobilized personnel within the ‘Triika’ and ‘Khartiia’ corps have also marked important progress. Conscripts with higher education can now earn officer qualifications more quickly, boosting overall effectiveness. It should be noted that women can only join the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a voluntary basis.
The results achieved by the Third Army Corps demonstrate the successful adaptation and preparation of brigades that were previously in crisis. Reduced casualty rates and improved troop training are expected to significantly impact overall combat efficiency. These changes highlight the need for continuous improvement in the face of modern military challenges, especially amid active hostilities and ongoing mobilization efforts in Ukraine.
