Plane crash in Brazil: two people killed, several injured
This morning, a terrible plane crash occurred in the Brazilian city of São Paulo. According to El Confidencial, two people died in the accident, and several were injured.
According to the press, the accident involved a light aircraft King Air, which departed from Campo de Marte airport headed to Porto Alegre. The plane crashed during an emergency landing, colliding with a parked bus. As a result, the bus caught fire, and enormous pillars of black smoke were seen billowing from under its wing.
Fortunately, there were no passengers on the public transport. However, the bus driver and a motorcyclist, who were in the accident zone, sustained injuries. Additionally, five people at the bus stop suffered minor injuries.
«Emergency services found the charred bodies of two people who were on board the crashed plane, and the injured have been identified as the bus driver and the motorcyclist who was in the area,» the report stated.
The mayor expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased on social media. He also reported that all necessary assistance is being provided to those injured in the crash.
Authorities in Brazil have launched an investigation into the causes of the collision.
Other plane crashes
Earlier, at Seattle Airport (USA), a Japan Airlines plane collided with a parked Delta plane.
Additionally, rescuers in Washington completed operations on the Potomac River, where there were crashes involving a submerged passenger plane and a military helicopter. According to emergency services, 67 bodies have been recovered from the water.
