In Britain, they announced record Russian losses in Ukraine and commented on Trump's victory.
British Defense Minister John Healey reported record losses of Russian troops in Ukraine during October 2024.
He said this in an interview with The Telegraph
According to British military intelligence, the average daily losses amounted to 1354 persons, and the total losses for the month reached 41,980 service members.
According to estimates by the British agency, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2024, the total losses of Russian forces have exceeded 696 thousand persons. The previous record of losses was recorded in May 2024 and amounted to 39,110 military personnel per month.
Healy also noted that Russia spends about 40% of its budget on defense, which could become an unbearable burden after 2025. In his view, the West can and should win the war of attrition against Russia.
Regarding the future U.S. policy, the British minister emphasized that regardless of the presidential election results, a shift in the American focus towards the Indo-Pacific region is expected. At the same Time, Britain does not plan to change its strategic calculations.
