A fatal traffic accident occurred in Dnipro: a child died.
In the evening of December 1, a fatal traffic accident occurred in Dnipro, resulting in the death of a child.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
"The car accident took place on December 1 at 19:45 near Naberezhna Zavodska Street in Dnipro. According to preliminary information, the driver of a BMW car collided with a Ford car that was making a turn near the public transport stop 'Children's Kindergarten'," said a police representative.
According to the police, a 10-year-old passenger of the Ford car died at the scene. The driver of the Ford car and three other passengers, including two children, were injured. They were taken to the hospital.
The police detained the driver of the BMW car under article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to information from the 'Dnipro Operational' channel, initially, the driver fled the scene of the accident. No one saw him. However, he later appeared again. Whether he was brought back or came on his own is unclear. But after the accident, there was no one in the BMW," one witness reported.
According to witnesses, the driver was going so fast that even if he had started braking, he would not have stopped in time.
According to the 'Lachen writes' channel, this is already the second traffic accident caused by this driver. Earlier, he also hit two girls at a pedestrian crossing and, according to preliminary conclusions, fled the scene of the incident.
