Air raid alerts may increase in Rivne and Volyn regions due to military exercises in Belarus
The mayor of Rivne, Oleksandr Tretiak, reported the possibility of an increase in the number of air raid alerts in the Rivne and Volyn regions due to military exercises taking place in Belarus. According to him, military exercises have been ongoing in Belarus since December 31, and if missiles are launched from this territory, they could reach our region in the shortest Time. Therefore, residents of the area need to be prepared for potential air raid alerts.
Plans for joint military exercises of Russia and Belarus
Russia and Belarus intend to conduct joint military exercises called 'West-2025'. Ukrainian border guards are concerned about the possibility of troop movements from Belarus towards the Ukrainian border. This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko. He noted that Ukrainian scouts are focusing on monitoring the developments during the exercises.
Training centers for joint military preparation
Representatives of Belarus and Russia plan to create three training centers for joint military preparation. One of these centers will be located in the Grodno region of Belarus, while the other two will be in the Nizhny Novgorod and Kaliningrad regions of Russia. Currently, training is ongoing in the military educational institutions of these countries.
It is noted that Russia and Belarus have signed over 160 agreements on joint activities in the military sphere until 2025. A representative of Belarus, Henadiy Lepeshko, noted that all joint exercises with Russia have exclusively defensive character.
