A civilian was killed as a result of shelling in Kherson

A peaceful citizen died in Kherson as a result of enemy shelling in the Dniprovskyi district. This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

It is noted that as a result of the enemy strike on the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, the man sustained injuries that were incompatible with life.

The Kherson City Military Administration reported that they are currently identifying the deceased resident of Kherson.

It is reported that Russian terrorists shelled the Dniprovskyi district around 10:30 in the morning. The man was inside a building and sustained injuries that led to his death.

A heroic volunteer lost his life

Later, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Roman Mrochko, reported that the deceased was 23 years old.

"The deceased young man was a volunteer who was a heroic person and constantly helped us in restoring the community," Mrochko added.

Russian occupiers are terrorizing Ukraine again

To remind, on the night of January 1, Russian occupiers terrorized Ukraine and its population again. In particular, the enemy launched strike drones of the type 'Shahed'. That night, the occupiers launched 111 drones at Ukraine. This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Explosions were heard in Kyiv around 7:00 AM, and air defense was operational in the Kyiv region.

As a result of debris from the drones, the roof of one of the buildings of the National Bank of Ukraine in the Pecherskyi district caught fire.

According to the Air Force, as of 09:30 on January 1, 63 strike drones of the type Shahed and other drones have been confirmed as shot down across various regions of Ukraine.
