In Kazakhstan, on the Astana - Petropavlovsk highway in the Akmolinsk region, 95 cars collided due to a snowstorm. There are two injured. This was reported by Tengrinews.kz.
The National Road Company KazAvtoZhol reported that the Astana - Petropavlovsk highway was closed due to deteriorating weather conditions.
According to preliminary data, at the 153rd kilometer of the highway, near the village of Janatalap, a mass collision involving approximately 95 cars occurred due to drivers failing to observe the speed limit and safe distance, the road company said.
Police and specialists from KazAvtoZhol are working at the scene. One lane of the road has been cleared, and cars that were not severely damaged are moving.
To assist the drivers, 22 combined road machines and two tractors were involved. Movement on the specified section of the road is again restricted for all vehicles, the publication reported.

Journalists noted that road services in Kazakhstan are working around the clock due to the massive traffic accident.
