Air raid alert declared in Kyiv due to Russian drones

An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv at 22:33. The main reason is Russian drones detected by the air defense system. Authorities urge citizens to stay away from windows and find safe places. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that air defense forces are operational in the capital and preventing Russian drones over the city center.

During the alert, Russians attacked Kyiv with drones. Debris from the enemy drones fell in the Pechersk district, including in open areas. As a result of the attack, windows in one non-residential building were damaged, but no one was injured. Debris from drones was also found in the National Botanical Garden named after M. Hryshko and in the Holosiivskyi district, where a fire broke out. In the Darnytsia district, houses and cars were damaged, but there were also no casualties.

On the night of February 23, other cities in Ukraine, such as Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kryvyi Rih, were attacked by Russian drones and rockets. The situation is very tense, but government structures are actively working to protect the population.
