Russian troops shelled the Dovzhenko Film Studio in Kyiv

On the night of Thursday, July 31, Russian troops attacked Kyiv, shelling the Dovzhenko Film Studio named after Alexander Dovzhenko.

This was reported by the State Cinema's press service on Facebook.

Damage to the Film Studio

Fortunately, the shelling did not cause serious damage to the Dovzhenko Film Studio, which is a symbol of Ukraine's culture with a long history.

Representatives of the State Cinema believe that this attempt was aimed at destroying cultural heritage, but fortunately, there were no casualties.

'As a result of the missile strike, production premises and a hotel were damaged. Almost 90 windows were shattered due to the explosion,' the press service reported.

It is also important to note that as a result of the Russian attack in Kyiv, eight people were killed, including even a child.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia attempted to burden air defense systems as much as possible to erase as many peaceful residents of the capital as possible.

As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv, not only people were affected, but also cultural buildings that are symbols of national history. The shelling of the Dovzhenko Film Studio was an attempt to intimidate and destroy the cultural values of Ukraine.
