Chasiv Yar holds its ground: a photo exhibition about the heroic defense of the city opened in Kyiv.

In Kyiv, on Kontraktova Square, a photo installation exhibition 'CHASIV YAR. FIRE-RESISTANT' is ongoing, dedicated to the year of defense of Chasiv Yar by the defenders of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram on Saturday, August 9.

The exhibition features 54 photos, representing 54 weeks of the city's defense. They are displayed on fragments of fences brought from combat zones to emphasize that what stands between the rear and the front are not walls or kilometers, but people defending Ukraine. Additionally, at Kontraktova, visitors can see various Russian drones and bombs, as well as sit behind the wheel of a real Humvee armored vehicle.

Everyone will have the chance to play the role of an FPV drone operator, as a realistic simulator is in action. 'Russia planned to capture Chasiv Yar by May 9, 2024, using it as a foothold for further offensives. But thanks to the bravery and skill of Ukrainian warriors, the enemy could not achieve this. Chasiv Yar stands firm,' the message says.

The KMVA urged Kyiv residents and guests of the capital to visit the square to see why our military fights. It is known that the photo installation exhibition will run until August 10, and entry is free.
