According to Novyny.live: In Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district, the removal of unstable structures from the 'Kvadrat' shopping mall has been finished. The mall suffered severe damage during a Russian strike on May 24. The attack claimed three lives and injured over 90 people. This incident was part of a broader assault on the Ukrainian capital.
Crews dismantled dangerous sections covering more than 2,900 square meters. The operation involved 15 State Emergency Service personnel and four specialized vehicles. The shelling of 'Kvadrat' occurred on May 24, when Russian forces targeted the area, resulting in numerous casualties and widespread destruction.
Cultural Sites Hit in the Same Barrage
The massive May 24 attack also damaged 14 cultural institutions. The nearby Lukyanivka Market was completely gutted by fire. Meanwhile, a McDonald's outlet that was hit has since reopened for business.
