The number of people who died from the Russian attack in Kyiv on the night of July 31 has sharply increased. A total of 26 fatalities are now reported.
This was reported this morning by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко.
Rescue workers continued the emergency search operations throughout the night and morning. From the debris of a building in the Svyatoshynskyi district of the capital, 11 more deceased were found, including a two-year-old child.
Currently, according to updated information, 26 people have died as a result of the attack, including three children. A total of 159 people have been injured in the shelling, among them 16 children. All the injured are receiving medical and psychological assistance. The search and rescue operation continues.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the death of a police officer under the rubble of a building in the Svyatoshynskyi district. Also, on August 1, a Day of Mourning was declared in Kyiv for those who died due to the Russian attack on July 31.
