A Series of Terrorist Attacks Occurred in Colombia: At Least Seven Dead, Dozens Injured.
A terrible tragedy occurred in the southwestern part of Colombia, where a series of attacks resulted in the deaths of at least seven people, including two police officers and five civilians. Over 28 individuals were injured. The city of Cali and some other localities are in a state of shock due to this unrestrained wave of violence. The attacks were well-planned and included car and motorcycle bombings, sniper shootings, and even the use of drones with explosives.
According to law enforcement agencies, these terrorist attacks are primarily targeted at the police. Colombian authorities believe that dissident groups of former FARC rebels, particularly the EMC faction, are behind these attacks. The Minister of Defense stated that these groups resort to terrorism because they cannot confront state forces in open combat.
The situation in Colombia is very tense, and authorities are urged to take additional safety measures to prevent further tragedies and apprehend those responsible for the attacks. So far, the exact motives behind these attacks remain in question, but they pose a serious threat to the civilian population in the region.
