There is a severe water shortage in Crimea: occupiers are installing tanks on the streets.
In some cities of Crimea, both drinking and technical water is running out. Local authorities are trying to address the problem by installing special water tanks on the streets and blame various weather conditions for this ecological crisis.
Water scarcity in Crimea
In the annexed Alushta, Crimea, a problem with water has arisen. Therefore, the occupying authorities decided to place special tanks on the streets for collecting technical water. This was reported in an official statement.
Local occupiers explain the water shortage by prolonged drought and low precipitation, and so far cannot find a radical solution to the problem.
'In connection with the difficult situation with water supply that has arisen in the municipality due to the dry period and low precipitation, a decision was made to install additional tanks for technical water. This will help mitigate the consequences of water scarcity for the population.'
It is also worth noting that the water problem is felt in the Bilohrirsk and Bakhchysarai districts. Local ecologists had warned about the depletion of water reservoirs in advance.
Recall that recently the cutting down of trees in Crimea and the loss of grain harvests on the peninsula were also mentioned.
In Crimea, in some cities, there is a problem with water, including both drinking and technical water. Local authorities are trying to locally address this issue by installing special water tanks on the streets for technical water. The main reasons for the water shortage are considered prolonged drought and insufficient precipitation. The problem is noted not only in Alushta but also in other areas where ecologists had previously warned about possible water issues due to the depletion of water reservoirs.
