Fuel Sales Halted and Power Outages Hit Crimea After Bridge Strike.
Fuel and Electricity Disruptions Across Crimea
According to UATV: Across the Crimean peninsula, gas stations have stopped selling fuel to both individuals and businesses, with supplies now reserved exclusively for emergency response vehicles. At the same time, parts of the region are experiencing blackouts caused by damage to the power grid, leading to overloads. These disruptions follow a strike by Ukrainian defense forces on a road bridge crossing the Henichesk Strait, an event believed to have contributed to the current instability in the area.
The fuel freeze and electricity failures are the latest signs of how military actions are straining daily life and commerce in Crimea. Restoring normal infrastructure operations will require significant time and resources, potentially creating further social and economic challenges for the peninsula.
