Deadly Attack in Lviv
According to TSN.ua: A tragic incident occurred in Lviv on April 2, 2023, when a serviceman from the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (known as TCC) sustained a fatal knife wound to the neck and later died in the hospital. The attacker has been identified as Andriy T., a state customs inspector born in 1991 and employed by the Lviv Customs Office. The assault took place near the 'King of Drinks' store, located close to Vyhovsky Street in Lviv. This event has shocked the local community and raised serious concerns about safety.
According to reports, the perpetrator approached the military member on his own initiative. During the attack, the victim’s throat was slashed with a knife, leading to his death. Based on available information, the suspect faces a prison sentence of 10 to 15 years, or even life imprisonment.
Official and Public Reactions
The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytsky, stated that
“the attacker must face inevitable punishment”, underscoring the severity of the crime and the need for justice. Meanwhile, the State Customs Service declared that
“we in no way justify or support illegal actions by our employees”. These comments reflect the authorities' stance against violence and their commitment to upholding the rule of law.
