Lviv Rocked by Powerful Blasts as Russia Unleashes Drone Strike on the City.
Russian Drones Target Lviv in Fresh Attack
According to Novyny.live: A series of explosions shook the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on March 24, following a coordinated assault by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. The Russian military launched multiple attack drones that approached the city from various directions, triggering air defense responses. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi confirmed the blasts and urged residents to stay in secure locations and refrain from filming the incident.
“Explosions are heard in Lviv. Air defense is active! Do not record video. Stay in a safe place,” – Andriy Sadovyi.
This marks the second drone strike on the Lviv region in less than a week. On March 18, Russian forces had already targeted the area. In the latest attack, debris from an enemy drone landed on the grounds of the main Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) office in Lviv Oblast. The security situation remains tense, and local residents continue to observe safety protocols.
The strike on Lviv is part of a broader Russian military strategy that increasingly relies on drones to hit urban centers across Ukraine. The growing frequency of these attacks signals an escalation in the conflict and a persistent threat to civilian populations. Authorities are urging people to stay vigilant and follow safety guidelines, as the frontline situation remains volatile.
