The Ministry of Defense announced an innovative update of the Army+ app.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization, Kateryna Chernogorenko, announced further development plans for the Army+ app, which will become the main digital tool for the military.
During a meeting with an American delegation led by the Vice President of the U.S. Institute of Peace, William Taylor, Chernogorenko discussed the new features and services that will appear in the upcoming versions of the program, reported by the MOD.
She noted that the next version of Army+ will have a training module providing basic information on military matters. This module has already been agreed upon with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The introduction of a digital military ID, which will have the same legal force as the paper version, as well as a system of social benefits, discounts, and bonuses for military personnel from businesses, is also planned.
«In civilian life, we are used to convenient digital services. Our goal is to make military service as comfortable and modern as possible, taking into account the specifics of the army», emphasized Chernogorenko.
Additionally, an update of the Reserve+ app was announced, featuring an innovative recruitment service allowing those obliged for military service to view current vacancies in military units.
«We aim to make the mobilization process more transparent and informative. So that motivated individuals, who have decided to voluntarily join the ranks of the Defense Forces, receive a complete picture of service opportunities», added the deputy minister.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue close cooperation in the field of innovation and digital transformation of Ukraine's defense sector. The American delegation highly appreciated the progress of the Ministry of Defense, particularly in founding the Drone Coalition and introducing new legislative initiatives.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense announced deferrals in "Reserve+": who can receive them.
