According to the head of the Department of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Bohatyuk, there are currently more than 60,000 people in the Unified Register of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances.
According to him, since the establishment of the register, data on over 70,000 people who were considered missing have been entered into it. However, active searches are currently ongoing for only about 60,000 individuals.
He also noted that the other citizens are individuals who have already been found and returned alive to their families or, regrettably, deceased persons who have been identified.
