NATO made an ambiguous statement about Ukraine's accession to the Alliance.
The President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and US Congressman Gerry Connolly stated that Ukraine should integrate entirely, not only the territories controlled by the government. He also expressed doubt that Ukraine will receive an invitation to the Alliance by the end of Joe Biden's presidential term. Connolly noted that Biden supports Ukraine's aspirations, but any actions related to NATO require consultations with other allies. The main priority at the moment is to end the violence on Ukrainian territories carried out by the Russians. Currently, NATO is focused on supporting Ukraine in its war against Russia.
According to Bloomberg, the West applies to Zelensky's Victory Plan and Ukraine's NATO membership.
