Arrests Made in Odesa
According to Novyny.live: Three local residents, aged 26 to 47, have been detained in Odesa for planning a series of terrorist acts. The group was preparing to bomb the cars and apartments of Ukrainian military personnel and was also transmitting defense force data to the enemy. The detainees had established contacts with representatives of Russian special services. Their primary targets were special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating on the southern front. This incident highlights the persistent threat of espionage and sabotage networks operating within Ukraine's borders.
The perpetrators were actively harming Ukrainian security by sending the enemy geographic coordinates, text messages, and screenshots from Google Maps. Their arrest occurred as they attempted to detonate a military servicemember's vehicle. During searches of the suspects, authorities seized the following items:
- mobile phones
- electric detonators
- a grenade casing
- an igniter
- TNT blocks
- electrical wires
Among those detained were a 36-year-old draft dodger, an accomplice who was a deserter, and a member of a public organization. All are suspected of state treason under martial law. The security situation in Odesa remains tense, as protecting military and civilian personnel is a top priority in the counter-terrorism effort.
