The PACE welcomed the adoption of the law on NABU and SAP.
Co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe monitoring Ukraine, Damien Cottier and Saara-Sofia Siren, expressed support for the adoption of the law concerning anti-corruption infrastructure.

The statement of the co-rapporteurs notes that the prompt approval of the law on restoring the independence of NABU and SAP 'indicates that the Office of the President and the Verkhovna Rada listened to the voice of the Ukrainian people.'
They also expressed hope that the decision would contribute to further strengthening anti-corruption institutions and noted that the appointment of a new head of the Bureau of Economic Security should occur without delays.
'We hope that this will provide new impetus for further strengthening the work of anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine, in particular for the appointment of a new head of the Bureau of Economic Security, which should happen without delays,' — it is stated in the statement.
We remind you that on Thursday, July 31, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for the presidential draft law No. 13533, which aims to rectify the situation with the independence of NABU and SAP. Later, the document was signed by Volodymyr Zelensky.
We also wrote that after the law was adopted, the EU speaker Guillaume Mercier stated that the European Union will not freeze financial assistance to Ukraine.
The statements of the co-rapporteurs of PACE support the adoption of the law that is to solve the problem with the independence of NABU and SAP for the Ukrainian people and facilitate the fight against corruption in the country, confirming the union's positive attitude towards Ukraine.
