Presidential candidates in Poland discussed cooperation with Ukraine

During the televised debates before the second round of the presidential elections in Poland, the candidates expressed their views on cooperation with Ukraine. Conservative candidate Karol Navrotsky emphasized Warsaw's right to defend its interests in relations with Kyiv, disagreeing with the Ukrainian side on a number of issues.

'That is why I can say here that I do not agree with President Zelensky treating us that way. We can speak with our own voice in Israel, Ukraine, Germany, or France,' - said Navrotsky.

Another candidate, liberal Rafal Tschaskovsky, emphasized the need for firm negotiations with Ukrainians to protect Polish interests and provide support to Ukraine, while considering Poland's national priorities.

'We need to talk firmly with the Ukrainians. We need to care about Polish interests without bypassing grain from Ukraine,' - explained Tschaskovsky his position.

Both candidates expressed support for protecting Polish interests in relations with Ukraine, but proposed different approaches to addressing this issue, which indicates differing views on cooperation between the countries.

Russia, for its part, is conducting a special operation called Doppelganger to influence the elections in Poland.
