Massive protests are ongoing in Serbian society, which have escalated into confrontations between opposition activists and supporters of the president. In Novi Sad and Belgrade, clashes occurred involving police, and some individuals were detained. As a result of the clashes, dozens of people were injured, including law enforcement personnel.
In particular, Reuters reports on conflicts between protesters demanding the government's resignation and supporters of President Vucic, which have led to a worsening situation and police intervention.
The protests arose after a tragic event in Novi Sad when 16 people died due to a building collapse. Citizens are deeply saddened and outraged, demanding accountability from the authorities for this incident, as well as for the overall corruption situation in the country.
