In Sumy, a man died after a fight at the TCK. Police reaction.

A conflict occurred at the Sumy City Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, during which a soldier beat a local resident, leading to his death in the hospital. The Sumy police and the Sumy Regional TCK confirmed this information.

Relatives' Version

The relatives of the deceased appealed to the local publication SumyToday asking for publicity. According to them, on December 29 at 15:00, a nephew called his wife from an unknown number and reported that he was taken to the TCK for a medical examination before being sent to war.

However, contact with him was lost. The next day, the relatives tried to call this number, but were informed that the man had consumed three liters of vodka and had been taken to the hospital.

In the hospital, the citizen was found with a traumatic brain injury. He underwent surgery and is in a coma. The relatives were informed of his death on December 31.

TCK Reaction

The Sumy Regional TCK confirmed the fact of the fight with deadly consequences on its territory. They claim that none of the participants in the conflict have any relation to the TCK.

According to the TCK, a conflict occurred between two men, who do not work at the TCK, just before the New Year, during which one inflicted bodily harm on the other. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The TCK states that it will fully assist the investigation and provide help to the police in investigating the incident. Video materials from surveillance cameras were handed over to the police.

Police Comment

The Sumy Region Police reported that they have established the identity of the person who inflicted fatal bodily harm on a resident of Sumy.

According to the police, a sudden quarrel occurred between the local resident and the soldier, during which the military inflicted bodily harm on the man. The victim was hospitalized but died from his injuries in the hospital.

The police notified the soldier of suspicion under Article 119 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.

It is worth reminding that in Kovel, in the Volyn region, a TCK soldier, while under the influence, became involved in a traffic accident. Information about this incident appeared in local Telegram channels. Children were in the vehicle with which the soldier collided.
