According to inkorr.com: On September 3, a temperature record was recorded in Ternopil - it was the warmest day in the last 41 years. Previously, the highest recorded temperature, which was registered in 1984, was 28.6 degrees Celsius. This was reported by 'Hlavcom' referring to 'Suspilne'.

Temperature Record

'On September 3, the historical temperature maximum was broken. It was 29.9 degrees Celsius. The previous record value observed in 1984 was 28.6 degrees Celsius,' said the meteorologist of the Ternopil hydrometeorological center Volodymyr Tsyryk.

Repeat Blooming of Apple Trees

Due to the warm weather in the village of Zhovnivka in the Berezhany community, apple trees bloomed again. Ruslan Yavorivsky, an assistant at the Department of Botany and Zoology of Ternopil Pedagogical University, explained the reasons and consequences of this unusual phenomenon.

'This is a global warming problem, which extends the growing season of the plant organism, allowing it to bloom again. Another important aspect is stress. The plant organism can survive stress under the influence of many ecological factors, including lack of moisture. This is also a stress factor that can cause repeat blooming. So there is a whole complex of reasons, and it all depends on each species'
.

According to the scientist, the substances that plants usually use to prepare for winter are spent on repeat blooming. Earlier, Ukrainian climatologist, member of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, Svitlana Krakowska, noted that by the middle of the century, the duration of summer in Ukraine could increase to 150-180 days a year, while air temperature will constantly rise, which could lead to the appearance of a desert in one of the regions.

Unpredictable Weather

This year in Ukraine, on Independence Day, random snow was a pleasant surprise for many. Ukrainians actively shared videos of anomalous weather at the end of summer on social networks. In the Carpathians, snow fell, and the air temperature in the highlands dropped to +2°C.

Thus, Ternopil recorded the warmest day in the last 41 years with a temperature of 29.9°C. Weather changes also affect the plant world, causing repeat blooming and the expenditure of resources necessary for winter preparation. This phenomenon indicates global climate changes that can significantly alter ecosystems and agro-climatic conditions in Ukraine.
