According to inkorr.com: The police in Uman have implemented enhanced security measures on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah celebrations. The head of the Cherkasy region police, Oleg Gudima, emphasized the importance of maintaining public order and readiness for various situations.
Strengthened police units will be operational in the city, including patrol police, dog handlers, explosives experts, and district investigative groups. The sale of pyrotechnics and alcohol will also be prohibited in areas where pilgrims gather. To improve security, checkpoints and a video surveillance system will be installed in places of high foot traffic.
Meanwhile, Hasidim are actively heading to Uman to participate in the Rosh Hashanah celebrations, and it is expected that about 50,000 pilgrims will visit the city. To ensure their safety, Ukraine and Israel have jointly developed an appropriate plan.
The celebration of Rosh Hashanah in Uman has long been an important event for many pilgrims who seek to celebrate the new year according to the Jewish calendar.
