The pre-Christmas fair season has started in Vinnytsia.

Vinnytsia Craft: The Warmth of Winter Traditions

From December 4 to 7, Vinnytsia will host a networking fair 'Vinnytsia Craft: The Warmth of Winter Traditions'. Participants and visitors can look forward to a pre-Christmas fair, master classes, a thematic lecture, and a meeting 'Vinnytsia Craft Community'.

The event is organized by the city's marketing and tourism department and the Vinnytsia Tourism Office to introduce local producers and craftsmen to the audience and each other.

During the four days, a pre-Christmas fair will be held at the Visit Vinnytsia tourist hub (Sobornaya Street, 89), where products from local craftsmen can be purchased.

On December 6 and 7, two master classes will be conducted for registered participants. On Friday, December 6, Craftsman Lesya Ziannurova will teach how to make a New Year's ornament using dry felting technique. And on Saturday, there will be a thematic lecture by Alona Sazonova 'The City of Christmas Meetings' along with a master class on making beeswax candles with New Year's decorations.

Lecture participants will also learn about the following:

• What our ancestors ate and drank 'from Roman to Jordan';
• What winter pastimes were like for the youth in ancient times and today;
• What was celebrated on Catherine's, Andrew's, and Nicholas' days;
• Who actually brings the gifts, and where they should be placed: in a stocking, under the Christmas tree, or under the pillow.

Let us remind you that for the third consecutive year, Vinnytsia will be without a main Christmas tree in the central park. The absence of the tree is a sign of solidarity with all those currently on the front lines, as well as with families who have lost loved ones or are worried about their safety.
