2026 NMT Participants to Receive a 10,000 Hryvnia Scholarship: Eligibility Requirements Explained.
New Scholarship for 2026 NMT Test-Takers
According to Novyny.live: Starting in 2026, students who take the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) will be eligible for a one-time financial award of 10,000 hryvnias. This monetary support is conditional on achieving a score of 185 or higher in each NMT subject and enrolling at a Ukrainian higher education institution. The payments will be disbursed during the first academic year, beginning September 1, 2026.
Who Qualifies for the Scholarship?
The 10,000 hryvnia grant is reserved for individuals who excel across all three tested subjects on the NMT. By rewarding top performers, this initiative aims to motivate test-takers to aim for high scores and continue their studies at Ukrainian universities.
For context, several other scholarship programs currently exist in Ukraine:
- Presidential Scholarship of Ukraine - 20,000 hryvnias
- Verkhovna Rada Scholarship - 8,800 hryvnias
- Cabinet of Ministers Scholarship - 8,000 hryvnias
- Minimum Academic Scholarship - 4,000 hryvnias
- Enhanced Academic Payment - 5,820 hryvnias
- Sector-Specific Scholarship - 5,100 hryvnias
- Enhanced Sector-Specific Scholarship - 7,420 hryvnias
In this context, the introduction of the 10,000 hryvnia NMT scholarship in 2026 represents a significant step toward supporting young people and encouraging them to pursue higher education in Ukraine.
This new financial incentive is expected to boost student motivation and academic performance by providing a tangible reward for strong NMT results. Given the current challenges facing Ukraine's education system, such initiatives could help improve the quality of learning and the preparation of future professionals, which is vital for the country's development.
