Drone Attack on Dnipro Wounds Six, Including 14-Year-Old Girl
According to Novyny.live: A Russian drone struck a residential apartment building in Dnipro on January 22, injuring six people, among them a 14-year-old girl. Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov reported that many residents were at work during the attack, a circumstance which helped prevent a higher number of casualties. This attack is part of a wider pattern of strikes on Ukrainian cities that have intensified in recent months.
Initial reports indicated five injured, including one child. The number was later revised to six. Medical personnel stated the teenage girl is not in life-threatening condition and will recover at home. According to local doctors, two of the wounded remain hospitalized and are in stable but moderate condition.
Rescue Operation and Aftermath
An ongoing rescue operation at the scene involves the State Emergency Service (DSNS), police, municipal services, and volunteers. Emergency responders have already rescued 16 people from the damaged building. The situation is under control, with local services doing everything possible to provide aid to the victims.
This incident underscores the continuation of military actions within Ukraine that result in civilian casualties. The strike on Dnipro occurs against a backdrop of escalating regional tensions, causing concern among residents and the international community. While the efforts of local services in rescue operations demonstrate the critical importance of rapid emergency response, the need for a lasting resolution to the conflict remains urgent.
