Death Toll Rises to Nine in Kharkiv After June 20 Strike; Body Recovered from Rubble.
Russian Attack on Kharkiv on June 20
According to Novyny.live: On June 20, Russian forces struck Kharkiv, targeting a two-story apartment building in the Kholodnohirskyi district. The number of injured individuals has now climbed to nine. Five of the victims required hospitalization, while four others received medical treatment at the scene.
The attack occurred around 4:00 a.m., and emergency teams later recovered a deceased person from beneath the debris of the destroyed structure. Oleh Syniehubov stated,
“The number of casualties from the strike in the Kholodnohirskyi district has increased to nine”. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov also confirmed that
“the body of a deceased individual was found under the rubble of the destroyed building”.
This incident followed a drone attack on a civilian vehicle in Kharkiv on June 19, which killed a passenger. The region remains under significant strain as local residents continue to endure the consequences of ongoing hostilities.
