Drone Attack in Zaporizhzhia Leaves Three Injured and Causes Widespread Destruction
According to UATV: In the early hours of the morning, around 4 a.m., a Russian drone struck a residential area in Zaporizhzhia, leaving three people wounded. The attack caused severe damage across the neighborhood, shattering 50 windows in six apartment buildings, a school, and a kindergarten. This incident is part of an ongoing pattern of strikes targeting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.
The explosion occurred near the entrance of a five-story building, damaging several parked cars. Two vehicles were completely burned, while five others were hit by shrapnel. Local resident Svetlana described the terrifying moment: “There was this loud hum as it descended. Then the explosion. Two cars were on fire, gas was burning, and smoke was rising like a column.”
Another resident, also named Svetlana, recounted her experience: “I barely made it from the couch to the hallway. Everything collapsed right where I had been sleeping. But we are all alive—everyone in our household survived.”
Emergency crews are on site clearing debris and assessing the damage. According to Oleksandr Pshenychny, “approximately 50 windows were blown out. Cars were damaged—two burned completely, five were hit by shrapnel.”

Rescuers also assisted a family of hedgehogs that lost their shelter due to the blast.
