Russian Strikes on Kherson Region: Three Wounded and Over 25 Damaged Houses (Photo).
Occupants attacked residential quarters in the Beryslav and Kherson districts of the Kherson region, conducting shelling with artillery, mortars, and drones. Over the past day, the police have initiated 17 cases under Article 438 "Violation of the laws and customs of war" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This was reported by the region's police press service.
Russian troops shelled Kherson, Sofiivka, Zymivnyk, Antonivtsi, Novodmytrivtsi, Mikilske, Prydniprovsky, Stanislav, Beryslav, Novoberyslav, Novovorontsovka, Shlyakhove, Trudolyubivka, and Chervonyi Mayak.
As a result of the shelling, 43 objects were damaged, including 24 private houses, 3 apartment buildings, a first aid post, critical infrastructure objects, 8 cars, gas pipelines, 2 garages, and farm buildings.
At the shelling sites, police investigative teams, rescuers, and medics were working. They gathered evidence, documented and rectified the consequences of the shelling, and provided assistance to those affected.
Russian forces struck with drones in the Dnieper district of Kherson, damaging 3 cars. A 54-year-old woman was injured by a munition dropped at a public transport stop, suffering blast injuries, concussion, and a bullet wound to the shoulder. A 70-year-old man also sustained injuries from the drone attack, receiving blast trauma and leg injuries from shrapnel. The occupants also shelled residential areas of the district, damaging a private house.
In the Korabelny district of the city, 3 apartment buildings, a gas pipeline, and 2 cars were damaged due to artillery shelling.
In Antonivka, a 74-year-old woman was injured when a drone dropped an explosive on a private house. She was taken to the hospital with blast injuries, a leg wound, and bodily wounds from bullet fire.
In Beryslav and Novovorontsovka, Russian forces attacked two private houses using FPV drones. The houses were damaged as a result of the attack. A private house in Novodmytrivtsi and a car in Stanislav were also damaged.
In Shlyakhove, at least 5 residential houses were damaged due to artillery shelling by the occupants. Artillery fire also affected 3 private houses in Sofiivka and Stanislav. In Nikilske village, 5 private houses, a garage, and a car were damaged.
In Zymivnyk, a first aid post, 7 private houses, a gas pipeline, a garage, a car, and a farm building were damaged due to artillery shelling.
Near Stanislav, a police service car with an investigation-operative group hit a "petal" type mine. The explosion caused mechanical damage to the car, but no police officers were injured.
The Kherson region police urge citizens to be cautious, as the enemy is conducting remote mining of liberated areas of the region. People are advised to refrain from traveling on field and dirt roads, avoid forests, forest belts, fields, and coastlines. If any suspicious objects are found, they should be reported to the National Police and the State Emergency Service.
