Ukraine and Germany discussed cooperation in air defense production.
Serhiy Boyev, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration, held a meeting with the State Secretary of the German Ministry of Defense, Nils Hilmer.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the talks took place during the 16th International Security Forum held in Halifax, Canada.
This conference is one of the most influential and representative international events for discussing global issues in the field of security and defense.
Serhiy Boyev thanked Germany for the provided Patriot and IRIS-T air defense systems, which have become indispensable amid the ongoing missile attacks by Russia.
The parties also discussed plans for cooperation in 2025 and possible types of weapons for delivery.
Serhiy Boyev emphasized: 'We discussed the possibility of deeper involvement of Germany in the supply of heavy armored vehicles for Ukraine.'
He also suggested that his German counterpart consider the opportunities for closer cooperation between Ukrainian and German defense companies in the fields of air defense and armored vehicles production.
