According to UATV: Ukraine has made substantial headway in fulfilling the terms of its Association Agreement with the European Union. A newly signed memorandum of cooperation with Montenegro marks a significant step forward on the path to EU membership. All negotiation clusters for accession are now open, underscoring the country’s serious commitment to joining the European community.

By the end of 2025, Ukraine’s overall implementation rate of the EU Association Agreement climbed to 84%. This achievement stems from strong collaboration, particularly in customs regulations, where Ukraine’s alignment with European standards stands at 96%. Officials note that 96% of planned measures have already been executed, highlighting the nation’s dedication to meeting its obligations.

EU Backing and Expert Assessments

European officials continue to voice their support for Ukraine. EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos stated,

“We now have a clear action plan, and Ukraine can count on our firm and unwavering support at every stage of this journey.”
This reaffirms the EU’s intent to maintain active cooperation with Ukraine despite challenges posed by Russian aggression. EU representative Matthias Pecke added,
“We stand with Ukraine. And regardless of the circumstances, our response is a strong partnership between the EU and Ukraine, which we aim to strengthen every day.”

Experts also highlight Ukraine’s deep integration into European structures. Taras Kachka remarked,

“We are very well integrated here; our rating in their reports is four out of five.”
Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko noted, “This is not our own assessment—we cannot praise ourselves—it comes from the European Commission.” Through these efforts, Ukraine continues to demonstrate resolve in its pursuit of European integration, earning positive evaluations from its European partners.

The growing support from the EU and the rising success rate in meeting association conditions reflect Ukraine’s serious endeavors toward European integration.
