On Wednesday, July 23, Ukraine and Russia conducted another stage of prisoner exchange. Severely ill and seriously wounded defenders are returning home.

Zelensky stated that today was already the ninth stage of the exchange, which was agreed upon in Istanbul. Severely ill and seriously wounded defenders have returned home.
'We can already talk about details — for all stages of the recent Istanbul agreements, we managed to bring back more than 1000 of our people. For a thousand families, this is a joy to embrace their loved ones again. Thank you to everyone who worked on this', the president said.
According to him, the soldiers returning home today defended Ukraine in various directions of the front. A significant number were in captivity for over three years. The head of state assured that all defenders will receive all necessary support and medical assistance.
'It is important that exchanges continue and our people are returning home. Thank you to everyone who continues this vital work. Bringing all our people back is a priority for the state. And we will continue all efforts to ensure that all our people return from captivity', emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.Also read:
