Ukraine and the USA agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with a delegation from the United States, led by the special envoy of the State Department, Nathaniel Fick, to discuss cybersecurity. He reported this on social media.
The meeting also included Director of the US Department of Military Innovations, Doug Beck, and the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink.
The Minister of Defense emphasized that Ukraine seeks to utilize American experience in cybersecurity and jointly work with experts from the Hunt Forward team to identify vulnerabilities in its digital systems.
He also noted that Ukraine is ready to learn and share its developments in this field.
The Minister presented to the American delegation the digital solutions of the Ministry of Defense, such as the 'Army+' and 'Reserve+' applications and the DELTA ecosystem for the military. He also reported on the establishment of the Cyber Incident Response Center.
Rustem Umerov agreed on further expansion of cooperation in cybersecurity with the US delegation.
He stressed that the priority is to increase investments in Ukrainian innovations, strengthen digital infrastructure, and utilize advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence.
The Minister thanked partners from the United States for their support in addressing cybersecurity threats to Ukraine.
It should be noted that during his visit to Canada, French President Emmanuel Macron entered into several agreements and signed documents, including discussing cooperation on cybersecurity issues with Ukraine.
