The USA warned Ukraine about limited assistance: what awaits on the front.
According to ТСН: US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, during the transfer of the initial peace plan to the Ukrainian leadership, likely warned about the limited capabilities of the US and NATO to improve the challenging situation of Ukrainian forces on the front.
According to information, Driscoll expressed to the Ukrainian side:
“Look, this is the reality of the situation. Ukraine is currently in a disadvantageous position. The United States and NATO have limited capabilities to change the unfavorable situation on the battlefield, and the current course is not sustainable. Therefore, tough concessions will have to be made.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed concern that the latest attempts by the Trump administration to implement a peace plan could lead to a difficult choice for the country: to preserve dignity or risk losing an important partner. The Ukrainian government also noted that it intends to consider the clarified points of the peace agreement, the content of which is currently unknown.
It is worth reminding that earlier American media reported that during a visit to Kyiv, Driscoll warned Ukrainian officials about “inevitable defeat,” pointing to the difficult situation in Ukraine on the battlefield and the possibility of an 'endless' war with Russia.
Washington reacted to these reports. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied the information of the channel, calling it false, and stated that it was fake news regarding a possible split in the White House administration.
These events indicate the growing tension in relations between the US and Ukraine in the context of security risks. The situation on the front remains complex, and the Ukrainian leadership is forced to seek compromises to maintain international support in an atmosphere of uncertainty.
