According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiha has emphasized that securing membership in the European Union is a vital component of Ukraine's long-term security. He also detailed the intensive consultations currently underway with European partners in preparation for the Munich Security Conference, scheduled from January 13 to February 15. These talks are part of Ukraine's broader strategy to anchor its future within European institutions.
Sibiha stated that EU membership itself constitutes a key element of security assurances for his nation.
“For us, our EU membership is an element of security guarantees,” he said.The minister stressed the pragmatic nature of these ongoing discussions.
“All these talks are realistic. Ukraine is openly stating the positions we are counting on,” he added.
Ukraine's European Integration
In a sign of progress, Sibiha reported that Ukraine has received benchmarks for three clusters of EU accession criteria, marking another step forward in its European integration journey.
