Ukrainians were given recommendations on how to choose sparkling wine correctly.

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection recommends Ukrainians on how to properly choose sparkling wine for the New Year.

Experts reminded that alcoholic beverages should only be purchased at official stores and that one should familiarize oneself with information about the seller beforehand.

It is also important to carefully examine the label, which should contain the following information:

• The general name of the alcoholic beverage.
• The name and location of the seller responsible for providing information about the alcoholic beverage.
• The trademark.
• The country of origin.
• The alcohol content.
• The bottle volume.
• The sugar content.
• The presence of flavorings and colorants.
• The year of wine production.
