New Gas Bills Coming for Ukrainians: Here’s How Much Extra You’ll Pay.
Updated Charges for Natural Gas Services
According to TSN.ua: In April 2026, LLC “Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine” will issue a third gas bill that now includes fees for maintaining household gas systems. This change follows an order from the Ministry of Energy dated September 29, 2023 (Order No. 292), which introduces new billing practices for consumers.
Service Fees and Inspection Schedules
Costs for maintaining gas networks will range from 120 UAH to 1,000 UAH. The minimum fee is set at 120 UAH, while the maximum could reach 1,000 UAH, depending on the number of apartments in a building and the condition of the gas pipelines. This means that buildings with fewer apartments may face significantly higher maintenance costs.
It’s important to note that gas system inspections follow a set schedule:
- If the building’s gas infrastructure is over 25 years old, inspections occur once every three years;
- If the gas infrastructure is 25 years old or newer, inspections happen once every five years.
These measures are designed to ensure the safety and reliability of gas supply for all consumers.
In short, the new billing structure and maintenance services aim to improve the upkeep of gas networks and keep them in proper working order. Households should prepare for changes in their monthly gas statements that reflect these updates.
The introduction of these new bills and maintenance fees underscores the government’s push to enhance the safety and dependability of Ukraine’s gas supply.
Consumers need to pay attention to these adjustments, as they could affect their regular expenses. More frequent inspections and better maintenance of gas networks may also reduce the risk of emergencies, which is critical for public safety.
