Ukrainians were shown how much money goes to 'special' pensions for judges and prosecutors.

During the first 9 months of 2024, the state spent almost 88 billion hryvnias on special pensions, and by the end of the year, this amount will reach almost 120 billion hryvnias.

Ukraine accounts for 6867 prosecutor-pensioners, many of whom continue to receive a pension while working in their positions, reports Economic Pravda.

In addition to prosecutors, judges, former civil servants, law enforcement officers, and military personnel receive special pensions from the state.

In the first half of 2023, the average prosecutor's pension was 21.5 thousand hryvnias, which was 4.5 times higher than the average pension in Ukraine. Judges received 96 thousand hryvnias, which was 21 times more.

Individuals affected by the Chernobyl disaster also receive special retirement conditions. At the beginning of 2023, they averaged 11.4 thousand hryvnias.

In addition, there are benefits for retirement for those who worked in harmful conditions.

In total, there are 10.28 million pensioners in Ukraine, of which 780.2 thousand receive special pensions according to various laws.

The average regular pension in Ukraine at the beginning of 2023 was 4623 hryvnias.
