'Health Screening 40+' Program Launched

According to Novyny.live: A new national health initiative, 'Health Screening 40+', commenced in Ukraine on January 31. This program provides citizens aged 40 and over with a 2000 hryvnia subsidy to cover the costs of medical check-ups. Eligible individuals will receive a notification in the government's 'Diia' app, which is a central digital platform for public services in Ukraine.

Notifications for participation are sent 30 days after a person's birthday. Once an application is confirmed, the funds are deposited onto a 'Diia.Card' within seven days. Over 900 healthcare facilities have joined the program, ensuring wide access to participating medical services across the country.

Alternative Methods for Enrollment

Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko clarified that individuals who do not use the 'Diia' app can still participate. They can obtain a special plastic card from a partner bank and apply at an Administrative Services Center (ASCs). Staff at these centers will assist with the application and provide details for receiving the funds.

The 'Health Screening 40+' program is specifically designed to help identify risks for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health disorders. A full list of participating medical institutions is available to view online via a dedicated link.

This screening program represents a significant step in strengthening Ukraine's healthcare system, particularly for the over-40 demographic who face higher risks of chronic conditions. By offering direct financial support for preventive care, the government aims to increase public health awareness and encourage the early detection of serious illnesses.
